Coral Rosehill A warm blanket that evokes its namesake. The sweetness of summer's end, preserved and repeated with every listen. Favorite track: gathering (together).

Dave Mantel This album combines the mathy post-rock guitar vibe that Alex is known for, and organic, earthy sounds used as both instrument and soundscape. The combination here works to create a listening experience that is at once energizing and relaxing, full bodied and minimal. The juxtaposition of these elements works to create a listening experience that is, in my opinion, one of Alex's best works to date. Favorite track: gathering (together).

about

this record is a reflection of the processes, feelings, meanings and places i experienced during my first two years living & working on a small farm with big-hearted people. i hope it helps you find the same queer sense of peace & interconnectedness that i carry softly in my own heart.

written & recorded in a cabin on Sweet Pea Farm, Mt. Desert Island, Maine during summer and fall 2016.
mixed & mastered in an apartment in Madison, Wisconsin through the winter of 2016-'17.

all percussion sounds are samples from field recordings captured around the farm.
